Endoscopic Rhinoplasty

How nice your nose looks doesn’t make much sense unless you can breathe easily. The “endoscopic method , which is preferred by many surgeons to achieve the targeted success, provides a great advantage for patients who want a rapid recovery after surgery.

The reason why endoscopy technique has increased in today’s rhinoplasty is the level of detail that the endoscope device gives its name to the surgeon.

The endoscope is a thin tube with a diameter of 1 or 2 mm and contains some small medical equipment to illuminate the area during surgery, transfer images to the screen and perform millimeter operations on the nose. With magnified images transferred to the screen, it becomes easier for surgeons to achieve perfect symmetry in the nose and make necessary touches for this purpose.

Advantages of having nose esthetics without breaking

In endoscopic rhinoplasty, the sensitization of the touches to the nose allows postoperative trauma to be minimized. In general, post-operative bruises are caused by the burst of some vessels while interfering with the nasal bone. The healing process is the regeneration of damaged vessels and tissues.

In fact, no real breaking action is performed with the tools used; When this cutting is performed through the endoscopy technique, the largest and most detailed images needed are achieved. This allows the surgeon to perform a nasal aesthetic operation without allowing any vessel to be damaged. This minimizes bruises and recovery time after surgery.Another important feature of the images is that they can be taken in three dimensions. With these high quality images, textures can be examined without losing any detail. In addition, complications after nasal surgery may not only occur where the operation is focused. The three-dimensional images obtained with the endoscope help the surgeon achieve complete control over the area he is operating on, thus eliminating this risk.

Recovery Process after Rhinoplasty:

It is recommended that you stay in the hospital for 1 night after surgery. To minimize the possibility of swelling and bruising after surgery, lie 45 degrees upright and apply ice for 10-15 minutes per hour. This application should continue for the first 3 days. 3. After the day you can lie low, there is no need to put ice. Applying more ice than recommended reduces tissue nutrition and increases skin edema.

There may be mild to moderate pain after surgery. These pain can be easily relieved with normal painkillers.

Buffers are removed 3-4 days after surgery. After emergence, scaling and edema occur in the nose for several weeks. In this period, which is a wound healing process, there will be congestion in the nose and opening from time to time. In this period, saline, seawater, ocean water are used to soften the shells and reduce edema. One day after surgery, brushing teeth with a soft-tipped brush can be done. 2 months glasses are not used including sunglasses and need to be protected from sun for 2 months. It is necessary to protect the nose from traumas for 2 months after surgery.
